Under The Table Restaurant in Toronto

Came here today with a friend for the first time and got takoyaki and a matcha smoothie for takeout. The food was great, but the customer service was even better! The staff here are so friendly, polite, and genuinely nice (which made for a really pleasant experience!) They made small talk while we waited for our order and made sure everything was alright before we went on our way. I would definitely recommend coming here! :)

Best ramen ever! I had kuro tonkotsu, which was perfectly made. I also love their takoyaki and kyoza. Great service and atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place.

This place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend. If you like spicy, try the kara kara donkotsu ramen here.

Absolutely spectacular food! Best noodles I’ve ever had and the miso broth was delicious! Deep and fully realized dishes. The service was out of this world! The chef was kind enough to come in greet us at the door and come out and say thank you as we left. Definitely going to be a new regular!

Really happy I found this spot. I have a many food allergies and it can be hard to find places who can accommodate plus have the food taste great. First ordered off UberEats, most places on Uber just cancel my order when they read my allergy list but Tokyo actually called to double check everything. The food was made fast & tasted great. I got the miso pork ramen 10/10. A few days after I was craving ramen so I went to the restaurant. Again, I listed the allergies & the chef came out of the kitchen to double check everything. Plus, remembered my order from the other night. I ordered a seafood ramen and damn it was good 10/10. The restaurant itself is a small causal cozy spot. I’m sure I’ll be back in the next few weeks. Foods great, service is amazing, prices are good. If your in the area or have many food allergies I’d check this place out.

This place is amazing! Lots of vegetarian options, you can change the meat in any plate for tofu. Excellent prices and super nice staff. Definitely worth the visit!

I was first attracted to try Tokyo ramen because of their rice noodle option and now it’s my regular ramen spot. The portion size is generous especially with the meat compared to other ramen places. My favourite ramen is the Kara Kara Tonkotsu. The broth is spicy and flavourful! The best part about Tokyo Ramen though is the service. The owner Peter is always in a good mood and willing to help!

Great ramen place. Authentic ramen and fresh as it can get. Broth quality is really amazing and flavorful. Vegetarian ramen is also good.

Broth lacks pork bone flavour. Lacks richness. Too salty. Black garlic paste/oil doesn’t have the toasted char garlicy aroma at all. All condiments bottles and table are sticky/oily. Noodle has very good chew. Pork belly is bomb, thick fatty soft and flavourful. Good amount of other toppings for the price.

Very quiet place with nice ambiance and Ghibli playing in the background. We enjoyed the tender chashu and the strongly flavoured bamboo shoots. The miso tonkotsu broth was well balanced but the spicy kuro (garlic) tonkotsu was disappointing - it was just spicy water and seriously lacking salt and any garlic flavour. I would be hesitant to return as their ramen seems to be a hit and miss depending on what you order.

Tried lots of Ramen in the city. This was absolutely fantastic and such wonderful service! The atmosphere was just wonderful and made for a very special evening. Will definitely be back.

Nicely located place for up to (approx) 25 guests with an atmospheric interior and super friendly chef. The ramen soup I got was exceptionally good. Prices are totally reasonable. Nothing to complain about.

Broth was rich and flavorful and chasu topped on ramen was exceptionally good. Gorokke was also very well done as crispy exterior contrasted very well with creamy inside. Even 3 and 5 year old finicky eaters (sons) enjoyed eating ramen and broth. Despite busy evening service time and being short staffed, service was timely and accurate.

The best authentic ramen place in Toronto!!! The staff and “sensei” the chef, was so nice and Uber friendly with me when I dined in today!!! Truly a great tasting experience... I normally visit chef at least once a week now to dine and eat here because the food are all awesome but chef and all of the people that works here are genuinely friendly and generous!!! if you want to have authentic and great tasting ramen in the city!! The Shio ramen had excellent components all around and everything was expertly balanced. The side of takoyaki was fantastic as well. In the era of COVID I would say this is one of your best options for ramen delivered to your door in Toronto.

Toronto doesn't lack a good ramen store, but I have never been to a ramen store that is so personal and intimate like Tokyo Ramen. The owner absolutely puts a lot into his business. You can feel it the minute you go inside. You can taste it with every mouth of the food. And it's no different at this unusual time. I went there for the first time last week since social distancing and found it totally safe for take out. The door was open to keep air circulation, window shield was set up between the worker and costumer, the POS machine was even put in a plastic bag. And when I open my food at home, I found instruction about how to reheat for the best taste. WOW! I'm really appreciated of everything they do. And I'm so lucky to have this store in the neighborhood I live in.

Great ramen very rich flavour and braised pork.

I have been to this restaurant a few times now and absolutely love it! I have gotten a few different types of their ramen and every time it is delicious! The food is made fresh on the spot and all the ingredients are quality and great every time! This is most definitely my new favourite ramen spot in the city! Every time I have gone in the owner greets me with a big smile and makes me feel very welcome as if inviting me into his own home. I look forward to go each time not only for the food but for saying hello to the owner!

Having been to Tokyo recently, I had a vivid memory of what the rich porky wholesome broth tasted like and smelled like. This place had it - It is the closest thing to Tokyo in terms of ramen in my opinion. Beautiful decoration inside and amazing service by everyone topped with exceptionally made ramen. Highly recommended and will come again for sure!

Good place to enjoy a ramen. The owner is very kind but also their food is good too. Its such a small place which has a few tables less than 10? i guess... If i dont wanna go far away to grab the best ramen in Toronto, i would just come here. Personally i liked their spicy donkotsu ramen.
